Getting started
How do I start transcribing?
Open Augmented SI and select Listening — Record & Transcribe. Grant microphone and speech-recognition permissions when prompted. Speak normally and watch the transcription appear. Use the available stop or save controls to finish your session.
How do I capture device audio?
Select Media — Capture Device Audio and follow the on-screen instructions. Audio capture depends on iOS permissions and the type of media being played. Some protected or restricted content cannot be captured.
How do I save a moment?
Use Bookmark — Mark This Moment while working with supported content. Bookmarks are intended to help you return to important moments.
What does Insights do?
Select Insights — Facts & Takeaways to explore useful information derived from supported content. Review important results for accuracy.
Can I use YouTube, audiobooks and podcasts?
Augmented SI includes dedicated interfaces for YouTube, audiobooks and podcasts. Availability of particular media, transcription or analysis depends on supported formats, permissions and third-party restrictions.
How do I use the Apple Watch companion?
Open Augmented SI on your paired Apple Watch. Tap Start Listening to begin a supported session, Mark This Moment to bookmark, or Stop & Save to end an active session. Keep the iPhone app installed and the devices connected.
Troubleshooting
Microphone or transcription isn't working
Check iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and Speech Recognition. Ensure Augmented SI has the required permissions. Close and reopen the app, then retry. Check that another app is not actively controlling the microphone.
AI answers or media analysis are unavailable
Check your internet connection, retry the request, and confirm the media is supported. AI services can occasionally be unavailable. Do not rely on AI output as the sole source for important decisions.
My Apple Watch is not connecting
Verify that the Watch is paired with the iPhone, both devices have Bluetooth enabled, and Augmented SI is installed on both. Restart the apps if necessary.

Overview
Augmented SI is an app for speech transcription, AI-assisted questions, audio and media exploration, bookmarks and personal memory. This policy explains the categories of information these features may involve and how to obtain more information.
Microphone and speech recognition
When you choose to use Listening or other audio features, the app requests access to the microphone and, where needed, speech recognition. Audio may be processed to produce text. You can manage microphone and speech permissions through your device settings.
Transcripts, bookmarks and saved information
Augmented SI can create transcripts, bookmarks and saved memories from content you choose to capture or remember. The storage location, retention period, backup behavior and deletion mechanisms depend on the app version and connected services. These details must be confirmed before final publication.
AI requests and third-party services
When you ask Augmented SI questions or request analysis, relevant text or other selected content may need to be processed by AI services. The providers, categories of transmitted data, data-retention terms and any user-configured API-key handling must be verified against the deployed implementation before final publication.
Media integrations
Augmented SI offers features for supported YouTube videos, podcasts, audiobooks and other media. These services may have separate privacy policies and usage terms. The app does not claim ownership of third-party content.
Apple Watch
The companion app can initiate supported listening actions, mark moments and stop and save sessions. Communication with the paired iPhone may be required for these features.
Support requests
If you use the support form, your email address and the information you submit are used to respond to your request. Avoid including passwords, API keys or sensitive transcript content. Support submissions may be processed by the website hosting provider.
Your choices
You can manage device permissions in iOS settings. For questions about access, correction, export or deletion of saved information, contact us through the support page. Specific deletion and retention processes should be documented after implementation verification.
